The project
De Klerck Engineering was responsible for the structural engineering and building services design for the conversion of the monastery buildings of the Regina Caeli Lyceum in Dilbeek. The former monastery and chapel spaces were transformed into a modern Open Learning Center (OLC), and the science wing was completely renovated with high-quality facilities for chemistry, physics, biology, and geography.
The structural design ensured the safe integration of new openings and floor modifications within the historic complex while preserving as many original elements as possible, such as round arches and stained-glass windows. The technical systems meet the latest standards for ventilation, indoor climate, and IT infrastructure.
