D&B GO! STrEaM Campus Groot Schijn (Deurne)
Design & Build: New construction and renovation of the main building at GO! STrEaM Groot Schijn Campus, Deurne
For the large-scale GO! STrEaM Campus Groot Schijn project in Deurne, De Klerck Engineering provided the integrated design for structural engineering, building services, and EPB reporting. The scope of work within this Design & Build project included the construction of a new three-story wing and the extensive renovation of the existing school building to create a high-quality STEM educational environment.
The structural engineering work included the pile foundation and structural analysis reports, as well as all construction drawings for the load-bearing sand-lime brick masonry and the precast concrete elements. The engineering team also designed the entire electrical infrastructure, including an 800 kVA medium-voltage substation.
The HVAC systems consist of a condensing gas boiler connected to underfloor heating and a demand-controlled Type D ventilation system with VAV dampers in each classroom, monitored through a central building management system. The project achieves a remarkably low E-level of 47.
