PZ VIMA Police Station (Vilvoorde)

For the conversion of an existing office building into the PZ VIMA headquarters in Vilvoorde, De Klerck Engineering designed the complete renovation of the technical systems and prepared the EPB reports.

The outdated and failure-prone VRV system was replaced with a high-tech and energy-efficient HVAC system featuring modern heat pump technology, smart zoning, and demand controlled operation, resulting in operational savings of approximately 35%. In addition, the two existing rooftop air-handling units were replaced with new units featuring airflow rates of 12,000 m³/h and 17,000 m³/h, equipped with high-quality heat recovery to ensure an optimal indoor climate and operational continuity under stringent safety requirements.
