PZ OLV BOPEC
Engineering and stability analysis for the construction of a new outpatient psychiatric center for PZ Onze-Lieve-Vrouw in Bruges.
For the BOPEC project of PZ Onze-Lieve-Vrouw Bruges, De Klerck Engineering is responsible for the design of the technical systems and structural engineering of a new outpatient psychiatric center. The new building, spanning over 5,600 m², offers a modern care environment where comfort, energy efficiency, and future-ready care take center stage.
The HVAC concept is based on reversible air-to-water heat pumps, ventilation with heat recovery via heat recovery wheels, and ceiling cooling. This creates a stable and pleasant indoor climate for patients, visitors, and healthcare providers. The plumbing systems, fire protection systems, and rainwater recovery systems have also been tailored to the needs of a contemporary healthcare environment.
The electrical installation includes, among other things, power distribution, LED lighting, fire detection, data and telephone infrastructure, Wi-Fi cabling, camera cabling, access control, and a new high-voltage substation. With a PV system of approximately 160 kWp and three stretcher lifts, the building is equipped for sustainable, safe, and functional operation.
